"Working Broker"? What's that?
Many Broker Owners no longer engage in the everyday activities of listing and selling real estate. Their role is more along the lines of a Sales Manager or Administrator. I choose to remain "in the trenches" because I really enjoy working with my clients! I have excellent support staff in place to help carry the load. My daughter Angie Wieland is a Broker-Associate and Statesman's Office Manager. She oversees all aspects of our business, keeping everything running smoothly. And last but surely not least, my wife of 35 years, Julie, helps out wherever needed, most notably in the "rocking grandbaby Winifred" department so Angie can get some work done! It's helpful to my Associates to know that I personally have "skin in the game". I can assist my Realtors with their challenges because I'm an active participant in real estate sales and negotiation myself! It's great to lead by example. Together we create a culture and work environment filled with fun and productivity. I love to come to work!
